Bobby Labonte - Homestead-Miami Qualifying
HOMESTEAD, Fla., Saturday, Nov. 19, 2005 – Bobby Labonte qualified 21st for the Ford 400 during Bud Pole Qualifying Nov. 19 at Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead, Fla.
Labonte turned a lap of 31.065 seconds, 173.829 mph in the No. 18 Interstate Batteries Chevrolet.
“It was a decent lap,” Labonte said. “We’re more concerned about the race setup and I think we’ve got a good one. We should be strong tomorrow.”
Labonte’s teammates, Tony Stewart and Denny Hamlin qualified 20th and 43rd, respectively. Stewart turned a lap of 31.061, 173.852, while Hamlin crashed in Turn 2.
The Ford 400 begins at 3 p.m. (EST) and will be broadcast live on NBC and MRN.
