DID YOU KNOW?

*Last week in Chicago, J.J. Yeley appeared well on his way to a top-10 finish until he cut a tire on the final circuit of the 200-lap event. Yeley finished 18th after spending a total of 75 laps inside the top five and 165 laps inside the top 10.

*J.J. Yeley qualified the #20 Home Depot Chevrolet last Friday at Chicagoland Speedway as regular driver Tony Stewart was forced to miss qualifying after crashing in practice. Yeley turned in a very respectable lap, placing the #20 car 13th in the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series field for Stewart.

*This weekend's NASCAR Busch Series race at New Hampshire will mark Yeley's first ever NASCAR event at the facility, but it will not be his first trip to New Hampshire International Speedway. Yeley competed in the IRL event at NHIS in 1998 and finished 23rd.

*The Vigoro/Home Depot team will bring Chassis #1856 to New Hampshire. Yeley raced this particular car at Las Vegas, Phoenix and Richmond in 2005. Yeley's best finish with Chassis #1856 was at Phoenix where he started fourth and finished 10th.

*J.J. Yeley is currently 15th in NASCAR Busch Series driver points. Just five races ago Yeley was 22nd as the circuit traveled to Nashville. But with three top-10 finishes in his last five races, Yeley has moved all the way up to 15th and is just three points behind 14th and 259 points behind 10th.

QUOTES

Driver J.J. Yeley on last week's race at Chicago - "Track position was huge at Chicago. We had a tough decision to make at the end, and we elected to pit for fresh tires. We thought the car would be able to cut right back through the field and get us back out front, but it just did not handle well in that dirty air. Then we cut a tire, and our chances of getting back inside the top 10 were gone. But we had a really good car at Chicago and our pit stops were awesome."

Driver J.J. Yeley on this week's race in New Hampshire - "This track is somewhat similar to Phoenix and Milwaukee, and those are two tracks where we enjoyed some pretty good success this year. We finished 10th at Phoenix and fourth at Milwaukee. We're taking the same car we had at Phoenix to New Hampshire, so we should be good right off the truck. I raced at New Hampshire back in '98 in an IRL car, so this time will be much different. But I've got confidence in Jason Ratcliff (crew chief) and the guys on our Vigoro/Home Depot crew. They'll have another great setup under the car, and we'll bounce back this week."
