J.J. Yeley - Watkins Glen Pre-Race Notes and Quotes

Three weeks ago at Pikes Peak, J.J. Yeley led 86 laps and finished fifth. Those laps were the most Yeley has ever led in a single NASCAR Busch Series race.

J.J. Yeley remains 12th in the NASCAR Busch Series driver standings this week after the Indianapolis race. Just nine races ago Yeley was 22nd as the circuit traveled to Nashville. But with six top-10 finishes in his last nine races, Yeley has moved all the way up to 12th and is just 66 points behind 11th and 151 points behind 10th.

This weekend's NASCAR Busch Series race at Watkins Glen will mark J.J. Yeley's first ever NASCAR event at the facility, and just his second ever NASCAR road course race. Earlier in the year at Mexico, Yeley qualified 23rd and moved into the top 15 after only 19 laps, but his engine expired and he was forced to settle for a finish of 42nd. While the team was loading their car in its trailer, David Stremme became ill while driving his No. 14 car and Yeley finished the race in his machine. Yeley drove Stremme's car to a finish of 22nd.

On Friday evening, J.J. Yeley will make a guest appearance on Speed's popular show Trackside. The show will be televised at 7:00 PM EST on Speed.
