Marc Davis, hard charger, maintains Hickory points lead

HUNTERSVILLE, NC (May 8, 2006) - With his fourth place finish this past weekend at Hickory Motor Speedway, Joe Gibbs Racing development driver Marc Davis maintains a six point lead in the Limited Late Model division.

Davis' # 92 Levi Strauss Signature Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS started the 20 car field in the fourth position. On lap 4 of the 35 lap event while passing for third, Davis sent the #7 of Paul Adams spinning as the car came down on the points leader. Davis was sent to the rear of the field on the restart. From the 20th position Davis showed patience and determination as he raced through the field to finish fourth.

In his fourth race of the Hickory season Davis, a rookie in NASCAR's Drive for Diversity and the Reggie White inspired JGR development program, has two wins, a second, a fourth, one pole and continues to lead the points race.
