Marc Davis Widens Point Lead at Hickory Motor Speedway

HUNTERSVILLE, NC (May 14, 2006) - Joe Gibbs Racing development driver Marc Davis continued his impressive rookie season with a third place finish this past weekend at Hickory Motor Speedway. Starting from the outside pole Davis fought a loose Levi Strauss Signature Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS in the Limited Late Model contest.

The 15 year-old Davis drove his Reggie White Racing number 92 on the outside line side by side with the No. 43 car of Jesse James Lefevers for 20 laps in the years most exciting race to date. Marc touched the wall three times during the evening but showed patience and determination to finish up front.

Taking a night off from his Hooters Pro Cup series duties fellow Joe Gibbs Racing development driver Joey Logano and crew came out to watch Marc increase his points lead to ten over Matt DiBenedetto and Andy Mercer.
