Drive for Diversity® driver Marc Davis makes it three in a row
Rookie teenager earns sixth checkered flag of season for Levi Strauss Signature® brand

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (July 31, 2006) – Drive for Diversity® program rookie driver Marc Davis won for the third consecutive week and the sixth time this season in the Limited Late Model division at Hickory (N.C.) Motor Speedway Saturday night.

“My entire team gave me a great car,” said Davis. “I’m living my dreams and looking forward to the next few weeks. We’ve got a lot of racing to do and our goal is to win the track championship.”

The 16-year-old from Mitchellville, Md., stands third in the championship point standings and returns to Hickory’s .363-mile oval on Aug. 12. There, he’ll seek his seventh career win and his fourth straight.

“Marc is really focused on winning the championship,” said J.D. Gibbs, president of Joe Gibbs Racing. “He might be young, but he knows exactly what he wants. You can see it when he’s driving the car and when he’s working on the car. He’s extremely focused, and it’s serving him well.”

Drive for Diversity® is an ethnic and gender minority driver and crew member development program that supports eight drivers in the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series and 12 crew members in the NASCAR Busch Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series during the 2006 season.

“The Levi Strauss Signature brand congratulates Marc on winning his third consecutive race this season,” said Scott LaPorta, President, the Levi Strauss Signature brand. “This is an incredible accomplishment, we wish him continued success, and look forward to watching him progress throughout the rest of the season.”

“Marc continues to raise the bar and we’re thrilled by his consistent results,” said Bryan Kryder, program director of the Drive for Diversity® program.
