| Joe Gibbs Racing development driver Marc Davis and crew were looking forward to an exciting evening of racing at the Bobby Isaac Memorial 200 lap race at Hickory Motor Speedway on Labor Day. The # 92 Levi Strauss Signature Coca Cola Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS Team was prepared for the rookie NASCAR Drive for Diversity drivers sixth late model start. In the late model division Davis has 3 top 5 finishes and 1 top 10. |

Davis qualified 15th fastest in the 32 car field. Eight cars failed to qualify This was to be an exciting 200 lap green flag event. Driving the Reggie White inspired 92 Davis worked his way from 15th starting spot in 25 laps and two cautions to the 9th position when the rain came bringing everyone back to pit lane. After a 90 minute delay the race was called off and rescheduled for September 23. "I had a very good car that was getting faster" said Davis. |
