Development Program

E-mail Print
With one of the youngest stable of drivers in NASCAR its no secret that Joe Gibbs Racing is committed to uncovering the best young talent the sport has to offer and then assisting them in their development. As part of those efforts to identify the best young drivers the sport has to offer, JGR also worked with the late Reggie White, the former NFL Hall of Fame defensive lineman, to provide an opportunity for young minority drivers that had proven ability but just needed support to showcase their full potential. Over the years the JGR driver development program has proven to be a tremendous success and has provided such an opportunity for drivers such as Aric Amirola, Chris Bristol, and Marc Davis.

One JGR's best examples of developing young drivers is Joey Logano, who signed to the organization's driver development program at the age of 15 and is now the full-time driver behind the wheel of the No. 20 Home Depot Toyota on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.

JGR's current driver development program features 17-year old Matt DiBenedetto and 16-year-old Darrell Wallace, Jr.
