HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (May 15, 2006) - Joe Gibbs Racing announced today the launch of the Joe Gibbs Driven licensing program for the automotive aftermarket. This program offers aftermarket companies opportunities to partner with one of the leading names in all of sports, as well as one of the top teams in the NASCAR industry.

In addition to the licensing initiative, Joe Gibbs Racing also markets and sells a line of racing lubricants under the Joe Gibbs Performance name, which will transition over to the Joe Gibbs Driven brand.

Gibbs, president of Joe Gibbs Racing. “Our racing oil business has exceeded our expectations, and we have always seen an opportunity to take the expertise of Joe Gibbs Racing to the street. To support the initiative, Joe Gibbs Racing has named Steve Boguski as vice president of aftermarket operations. The former NASCAR executive has over 18 years experience in the automotive aftermarket segment and led NASCAR‘s automotive aftermarket licensing program from a start-up to one of the premier marketing opportunities in the aftermarket. As president of Newbury Partners, he has worked with Joe Gibbs Racing from the inception of the racing oil business and helped develop the positioning of the licensing program. Boguski will remain president of Newbury Partners and has moved his operations and staff to Joe Gibbs Racing‘s Huntersville-based headquarters.

“My career has always been about product positioning and creating unique solutions to drive sales - primarily in the automotive aftermarket,” said Boguski. “The Joe Gibbs Driven brand provides an incredible association for a company. Partners will have the ability to tap into Joe Gibbs Racing‘s technical and engineering expertise and will work under the umbrella of Joe Gibbs Racing‘s experienced marketing team.
