Show Car Driver

Location: Based in the United States (Extensive Nationwide Travel)
Division: Show Car / Marketing & Events

Position Overview

Joe Gibbs Racing is seeking a professional, dependable Show Car Driver to support our marketing and promotional efforts nationwide. This role is responsible for transporting, displaying, and representing Joe Gibbs Racing show cars at events across the country while engaging fans and supporting merchandise sales.

This is a high-visibility position that requires professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a variety of partners, sponsors, and event staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate and transport show car haulers and equipment to events nationwide

• Maintain a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and comply with all DOT regulations

• Travel approximately 260 days per year, supporting roughly 120 shows annually

• Set up, display, and break down show cars and promotional equipment

• Assist with merchandise sales, including setup, customer interaction, and teardown

• Represent Joe Gibbs Racing in a professional, positive, and brand-appropriate manner

• Work effectively with team members, sponsors, event organizers, and the public

• Ensure show cars, equipment, and display areas are clean, organized, and presentable at all times

Qualifications

• Valid CDL required (clean driving record preferred)

• Willingness and ability to travel extensively (260 days per year)

• Strong professionalism and customer-facing communication skills

• Ability to work well with multiple people in fast-paced, public environments

• Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented

• Comfortable engaging with fans and the general public

• Ability to lift, move, and set up display equipment as required

Preferred Experience

Communications Manager

Reports To:  Vice President of Communications & Partner Activation 

​

Duties:

- Lead PR role for NASCAR Cup Series team

- Primary liaison for assigned driver and NASCAR Cup Series team personnel with media, NASCAR, internal partners, and industry stakeholders

- Coordinate assigned driver calendar with media, sponsor and team obligations and maintain driver’s weekly schedule

- Prepare weekly press materials to include pre-race reports for assigned driver

- Prepare talking points and review with assigned drivers prior to scheduled interviews and media availabilities

- Field all media inquiries for assigned driver

- Keep track of all sponsor obligations for assigned driver

- Attend all sponsor and media obligations as necessary pre and post-season including NASCAR production days, Daytona media days, playoff media days, and NASCAR awards banquet

- Monitor and assist in building social media for assigned drivers and JGR team

- Strategize and execute strategic PR and social media campaigns on behalf of assigned sponsor(s) to maximize ROI

- Develop relationships with media and key stakeholders to benefit team and partners

- Assist with at-track PR coverage for JGR’s NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series teams as needed

Skills & Qualifications

- Ability to travel extensively throughout the NASCAR season schedule 

- Ability to work weekends

- Ability to work in collaborative environment and support teammates

- Three plus years of experience in sports public relations or working directly with professional athletes

- NASCAR experience or industry knowledge a plus

NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series #54 Team Mechanic

Joe Gibbs Racing is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Team Mechanic to support our O’Reilly Auto Parts Series #54 team. This position plays a key role in vehicle preparation, setup, and maintaining the highest standards of performance and reliability.

 

Key Responsibilities:
• Car assembly, setup, and preparation for competition
• Maintain shop standards, organization, and workflow efficiency
• Assist with teardown, inspection, and rebuilding of chassis and suspension components
• Collaborate with the Crew Chief, Car Chief, and Shop Manager to ensure vehicle readiness
• Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and safety standards 

• Limited travel with the team as needed for race support

 

Qualifications:
• Team oriented and self-motivated
• Positive attitude with strong communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and work quality
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Proficient with basic computer systems and setup tools
• Minimum 5 years of racing mechanic experience, including setup work
• Hawkeye experience preferred

Sales Coordinator

Reporting:

• Position reports directly to Vice President- Sponsorships

• As a member of the JGR Sponsorship Sales Team, the Sales Coordinator will be an active participant in all aspects of JGR sponsorship sales efforts- discovery, design, development, and contract completion

   

Responsibilities:

• Support Vice President -Sponsorship and JGR Sales Team in efforts to drive sponsorship revenue across JGR’s Cup and O’Reilly Series Teams 

• Including but not limited to:

o Research

o Data Collection and Entry 

o Task Management

o Creative Design

o Cross Department Collaboration 

• Sales Lead Generation

o Cold Calling, Networking and Targeted Strategic Outreach  

• At-Track Support 

o As needed, at-track hosting support of both prospective and existing JGR partners (Estimated 10-12 times throughout season)

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree

Paint & Body Technician

Job Summary: Paint and Body Technician 

 

Responsibilities:

• Paint race car chassis, parts, and equipment.

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary.

• Apply primers, basecoats, and clearcoats using industry-standard techniques.

• Assess surfaces for imperfections and damage, sand and fill surfaces as required.

• Conduct thorough inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with Nascarrules, and JGR quality standards.

• Maintain and clean painting tools and equipment.

 

Requirements:

• 1+ years’ experience as a Paint Technician in an automotive setting.

• Proficiency in the use of painting tools, including spray guns, sanders, and mixing equipment.

• In-depth knowledge of automotive painting and bodywork materials, and application processes.

• Ability to work under tight deadlines and in high-pressure environments.

• Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

• Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with the team.

• Technical training in automotive painting or a related field is preferred.

Cup Fab Shop Personnel

Positions Summary:

We are currently seeking 3-4 highly detail-oriented individuals to join our fabrication team. The Fab Shop role is open to internal and external candidates. Successful applicants will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, strong computer literacy, and eagerness to learn and use industry-specific software, including Rome Arms and scanning tools. We are looking for multiple people with a range of skill levels.

Responsibilities:

· Prepare and assemble body panels and body parts for JGR Cup cars.

· Measure and meet tolerance requirements per engineering build specifications.

· Conduct thorough inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with NASCAR rules, and JGR quality standards.

· Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements:

· High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.

· Strong computer skills; able to quickly learn new industry-specific software.

· Willing to adapt and grow with new systems and workflows.

· Previous experience in fabrication or shop work preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.

· Experience using portable CMM’s (Romer arms) is a plus.

Job Summary:

Joe Gibbs Racing is seeking an accomplished engineering leader to serve as Director of Performance Engineering. This position oversees a multidisciplinary group responsible for vehicle performance analysis, simulation development, and race engineering support. • Lead and develop a team of performance and simulation engineers to deliver high-quality analytical tools, models, and event support.

Entry Level Mechanic

Joe Gibbs Racing is seeking a passionate and motivated Entry-Level Mechanic to support our Xfinity racing operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

As an Entry-Level Mechanic, you will assist in various shop and operations duties, including:

  • Disassembly and detailed cleaning of race vehicles

  • Suspension teardown, inspection, and cleaning

  • Interior and driver comfort component assembly

  • Electrical - Wiring

  • Supporting the Parts Department with organization and logistics

  • Transporting race vehicles and parts between departments (intercompany transport)

  • Performing additional shop duties as assigned by the Xfinity Operations Manager

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven mechanical aptitude and strong work ethic

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment

  • Basic computer skills (for inventory, documentation, etc.)
