Part-Time Transport Truck Driver

Position:

  • We are currently seeking a part-time truck driver to support our primary drivers in transporting vehicles and equipment to and from race sites. The role offers a flexible schedule and an opportunity to contribute to the success of our team.

 

Requirements: 

  • Valid CDL/pass DOT physical & drug screen

  • Professional

  • Team oriented mindset

  • Self-motivated

  • Mechanically inclined

  • Clean driving record

  • Minimum of 3 years over the road full-time tractor trailer experience 

  • NASCAR hauler driver experience preferred but not necessary

  • Residence in or near Charlotte NC preferred

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as second truck driver during race weekends as needed

  • Flexible schedule 

  • Assist in loading, transporting, and unloading race vehicles and equipment  

  • Perform all duties in accordance with company policy and as requested by the test team.

NASCAR Xfinity Series Race Engineer

Position Summary

·         Seeking a highly motivated race engineer with previous racing experience and at least 2 years of motorsport engineering experience.

·         Responsibilities include optimizing car performance in setup and race strategy.

·         Requires commitment to excellence, ability to produce high-quality results independently, and proficiency in managing complex data.
 

Essential Job Functions:

·         Perform vehicle simulation, analyze tire data, and conduct aerodynamic analysis.

·         Travel to race events to support simulation work and data collection/analysis.

·         Assist Crew Chief with developing and executing race strategies.

·         Use engineering tools to aid decision-making processes for race vehicle setup and performance.

·         Conduct post-event investigations and communicate technical data effectively.

NASCAR Xfinity Series Setup Plate Technician

Joe Gibbs Racing is seeking a full-time Setup Plate Technician to join our team.

 

Responsibilities include but not limited to: 

  • Perform chassis setup using a Romer arm.

  • Input setup information and data into Race Studio database.

  • Coordinate with Crew Chief, Car Chief and Engineers regarding car schedules and set ups.

  • Collaboration with Shop Manager and Support Departments

  • Assist team members in teardown, car prep, and assembly.

  • Perform duties in accordance with company policy and as directed by the Crew Chief   

 

Requirements: 

  • High school diploma/GED/equivalent

  • Team-oriented with positive attitude

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail

  • Basic computer knowledge (Excel, One Note, Slack)

  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a racing mechanic with set up experience.   

  • Desired experience with a Romer arm and/or racing setup.

  • Hawkeye experience a plus.

CNC Machinist/Lathe Operator

Please note: This job is for Joe Gibbs Manufacturing Solutions.

JGMS is looking for a qualified person with expertise in multi-axis machining of metal parts with complex geometries. We produce machined parts for the automotive, aerospace and industrial industries. This individual will manufacture various items using a variety of CNC milling and manual machining equipment. We are currently looking for one candidate in our multi axis machine area and two candidates in our lathe department. Pay is negotiable based on experience.
 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

  • Operate CNC milling equipment to manufacture parts to print and instructions provided. Adjust or operate machine tools used to perform precision machining operations.

  • Complete accurate and timely system transactions.

  • Communicate with other departments (Quality, Engineering) and Production Management, in order to resolve problems, improve processes and increase efficiency.

  • Follow company established quality procedures.

  • Other duties assigned by supervisor as needed.
     

Job Qualifications

  • 3-5 Years of experience in CNC machining

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.

  • Able to setup and adjust machine tools.

  • Ability to run proven programs.

  • Ability to work safely, independently and with good time management.

  • Ability to use variable and attribute measuring tools, and/or ability to learn to use new measuring equipment.
     

Position Requirements

  • Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • Long periods of standing.

  • For ITAR compliance, all employees at this location must be a US citizen or a lawful permanent resident.

Quality Inspector/CMM Operator

Please note: This job is for Joe Gibbs Manufacturing Solutions and is the 2nd shift. 

OVERVIEW

  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes.

  • Ability to read blueprints.

  • Understanding GD&T dimensioning.

  • Experience using measurement hand tools (calipers, micrometers, height gage).

  • Any CMM operation or programming experience is a plus.

  • Zeiss Calypso experience is a big plus.

  • Climate control facility

  • 2nd shift- 10hour shift Monday-Thursday

SUMMARY
Inspects and verifies products at various stages of production process, and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Interprets engineering drawings and schematic diagrams.
Selects products for inspection/verification at specified stages in production process; and inspects/verifies products for variety of qualities.
Records inspection/verification data applying statistical quality control procedures.
Calibrates and maintains measuring and inspection equipment per established procedures.

QUALITY STANDARDS
Ability to define and distinguish between quality standards, requirements, and specifications with the goal of meeting the customer’s specified requirements.
Ability to read and interpret drawings and ensure requirements are appropriately applied to the method of manufacturing including inspection activities.
Have a basic understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerance such as symbols, location, and profile.
Ability to determine what measurement instruments are required for various inspection point functions such as receiving, in-process, final, source, first article, etc.

Ability to define and solve problems.

Performance Engineer

Job Summary

As a Performance Engineer for Joe Gibbs Racing, you will play a key role in facilitating the needs of the trackside race teams.  The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of high-level motorsport engineering experience, centering around race engineering tasks with deep involvement in vehicle simulation.  A high concern for quality, an ability to independently produce high-quality results, and skills to manage and process high volumes of complex data in a high-pressure environment is necessary.

 

Reporting to Race Engineering Group

 

Typical Responsibilities

  • Develop, refine, validate, and maintain simulation baselines for distribution to the race teams

  • Assist DIL program with accurate simulation models and simulation validation studies

  • Facilitate DIL tests to bridge the gap between the track and simulation

  • Track, understand, and document the ramifications of evolving vehicle aerodynamics on simulation behavior

  • Provide simulation help desk support to trackside teams

  • Perform pre-event setup parameter sensitivity simulation studies

  • Perform race meeting setup comparison evaluation studies

  • Perform post-event investigations

  • Develop and maintain efficient software tools for race engineering functions

  • Assist vehicle design and aerodynamics groups with focused simulation studies

  • Attend track test events to assure proper data collection and perform on-site validation

  • Assist simulation development group in simulation suite testing

  • Collaborate with race team, simulation development, and software groups to guide simulation development direction

  • Perform a variety of physical tests
     

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering

  • At least 2 years' experience in professional motorsports, working primarily in a simulation or race engineering role

  • Experience with full-vehicle simulation application and analysis

  • Experience with Matlab & Python Programming Language
