Marketing Coordinator

Job Overview:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of marketing strategies and initiatives across all departments at JGR. This role offers the unique opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Reports directly to the VP of Marketing and assists in developing and executing marketing plans that align with the overall business objectives of JGR.

  • Coordinate and manage marketing projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.

  • Help us fill and maintain our CRM through data entry, participating in meetings, taking notes, and acting as a “catch-all” for identifying pertinent information.

  • Collaborate with various departments, including Sponsor Relations, Merchandising, and Digital Media, to ensure cohesive and effective promotional activities.

  • Help in managing social/digital media campaigns, optimizing for engagement and reach.

  • Conduct market research and analysis to gauge the effectiveness of campaigns and identify new opportunities for growth.

  • Focus on data collection and ways to leverage relationships to collaborate on projects that encourage people to sign up and submit information.

  • Assist in developing, activating, and fulfilling giveaways and sweepstakes

  • Prepare presentations and reports for internal teams and external partners, highlighting performance metrics and project status updates.

  • Assist in the organization and execution of special events, marketing campaigns, sponsor activations, and race day promotions.

  • Maintain strong relationships both internally and with industry stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met and their association with JGR is positively managed.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.

  • 1-3 years of experience in marketing, ideally in sports, entertainment, or a related industry.

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing tools and strategies, including social media management.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using Microsoft Office and marketing software.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
     

Skillsets:

  • Marketing Acumen: Deep understanding of marketing principles and strategies, including digital marketing, content creation, and brand management. Ability to adapt strategies to align with changing market trends and company goals.

  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable preparing detailed reports, making presentations, and communicating with various stakeholders, including sponsors and team members.

  • Creativity and Innovation: Creative mindset with the ability to generate new ideas for campaigns, sponsor activations, and fan engagement. Open to experimenting with new approaches and solutions to enhance marketing efforts.

  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, contributing to a collaborative work culture. Skilled in building relationships across departments to foster a unified approach to marketing.

  • Adaptability and Resilience: Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Capable of handling pressure and adapting to unforeseen changes without compromising on the quality of work.

Other Details:

  • In-person, on-location in Huntersville, NC; Full-Time.

  • Occasional weekend work will be required.

  • This position requires approximately 20% travel. Responsibilities will include attending 6-8 races, sponsor events, and marketing meetings, often conducted at various locations, including racetracks and partner sites. The candidate should be prepared for and capable of traveling as needed to fulfill job duties effectively.

NXS Suspension Dept Lead

We currently have a full-time opening to lead our ARCA/Xfinity Suspension.

 

Jobs duties include, but not limited to:

  • Assign day to day tasks for mechanics in suspension department

  • Schedule suspension build timing based on car delivery / part inventory

  • Oversee maintenance and assembly of front suspension, rear suspension, & brake components.

  • Assembling of front suspension components, rear suspension components, or brake components

  • Documentation of maintenance records of various components

  • Measuring & documentation of various components

 

Requirements:

  • Experience in assembly / maintenance of all suspension and brake components  

  • Magnaflux certification preferred but not required

  • Leadership skills

Director - Sponsorship Sales

The Director, Sponsorship Sales will be responsible for generating sponsorship revenue and supporting our current partners within Joe Gibbs Racing (“JGR”) four NASCAR Cup Teams and three Xfinity Series Teams.  The Director, Sponsorship Sales must be highly motivated, collaborative, and willing to work within the team environment to help JGR meet or exceed our sponsorship goals.  We are seeking a strategic thinker for this role who will work creatively to provide solutions for our partners.  This position will report to the Vice President of Sponsorship Sales.    

                                                        

Responsibilities

  • Identify, cultivate, and develop sponsorship programs with potential new partners by networking, developing proposals, generating leads (including cold calls), and conducting presentations

  • Establish strong working relationships with companies to understand their marketing goals and initiatives

  • Lead and/or assist the sales process from discovery to account development, negotiations, and closing

  • Build and maintain a network of prospective clients and agency contacts across the sports industry

  • Collaborate with other departments within JGR to build out sponsored programs, including Digital/social media, Communications, Data and Analytics, and Partner Activation  

  • Lead efforts to identify business to business & cross promotional opportunities between JGR partners as well as new companies that align with our existing family of partners

  • Participate in weekly sales meetings

  • Maintain accurate data in CRM and update activity and information in sponsorship database as appropriate

  • Serving as at-track representative for VIP guests and potential sponsors. 

  • Entertain VIP guests, corporate directors and program managers at track

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field

  • 5-10 years of sponsorship sales experience

 

Requirements

  • Self-motivated with a proven ability to achieve sales goals

  • Ability to establish and maintain strong positive relationships with corporate clients and colleagues

  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills

  • Creative and strategic thinker

CNC Machinist/Lathe Operator

Please note: This job is for Joe Gibbs Manufacturing Solutions.

JGMS is looking for a qualified person with expertise in multi-axis machining of metal parts with complex geometries. We produce machined parts for the automotive, aerospace and industrial industries. This individual will manufacture various items using a variety of CNC milling and manual machining equipment. We are currently looking for one candidate in our multi axis machine area and two candidates in our lathe department. Pay is negotiable based on experience.
 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

  • Operate CNC milling equipment to manufacture parts to print and instructions provided. Adjust or operate machine tools used to perform precision machining operations.

  • Complete accurate and timely system transactions.

  • Communicate with other departments (Quality, Engineering) and Production Management, in order to resolve problems, improve processes and increase efficiency.

  • Follow company established quality procedures.

  • Other duties assigned by supervisor as needed.
     

Job Qualifications

  • 3-5 Years of experience in CNC machining

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.

  • Able to setup and adjust machine tools.

  • Ability to run proven programs.

  • Ability to work safely, independently and with good time management.

  • Ability to use variable and attribute measuring tools, and/or ability to learn to use new measuring equipment.
     

Position Requirements

  • Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • Long periods of standing.

  • For ITAR compliance, all employees at this location must be a US citizen or a lawful permanent resident.

Performance Engineer

Job Summary

As a Performance Engineer for Joe Gibbs Racing, you will play a key role in facilitating the needs of the trackside race teams.  The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of high-level motorsport engineering experience, centering around race engineering tasks with deep involvement in vehicle simulation.  A high concern for quality, an ability to independently produce high-quality results, and skills to manage and process high volumes of complex data in a high-pressure environment is necessary.

 

Reporting to Race Engineering Group

 

Typical Responsibilities

  • Develop, refine, validate, and maintain simulation baselines for distribution to the race teams

  • Assist DIL program with accurate simulation models and simulation validation studies

  • Facilitate DIL tests to bridge the gap between the track and simulation

  • Track, understand, and document the ramifications of evolving vehicle aerodynamics on simulation behavior

  • Provide simulation help desk support to trackside teams

  • Perform pre-event setup parameter sensitivity simulation studies

  • Perform race meeting setup comparison evaluation studies

  • Perform post-event investigations

  • Develop and maintain efficient software tools for race engineering functions

  • Assist vehicle design and aerodynamics groups with focused simulation studies

  • Attend track test events to assure proper data collection and perform on-site validation

  • Assist simulation development group in simulation suite testing

  • Collaborate with race team, simulation development, and software groups to guide simulation development direction

  • Perform a variety of physical tests
     

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering

  • At least 2 years' experience in professional motorsports, working primarily in a simulation or race engineering role

  • Experience with full-vehicle simulation application and analysis

  • Experience with Matlab & Python Programming Language

  • Experience in tire characterization and aerodynamics

  • Desire to work in a collaborative, demanding, and fast-paced development environment

  • Strong organizational and communication skills; significant outward communication is required

  • High concern for quality and pride in individual work
